Mr. Ansari has a perspective that is unique to this medium. Instead of being a broadcast professional who has picked up some knowledge of the markets, Moe has been in the trenches for the past 25 years, and it is this perspective he brings to the radio. When Mr. Ansari tells people that he has been trading futures and optoins for his entire life, he is not exaggerating by much. Mr. Ansari has been involved with the futures markets since 1977 when he began with First Boston. From there he became a full partner with the firm, Allister, McMillan & Brookes. Literally covering the world with his workshops and seminars. He currently is the President of his own company, Compak Asset Management, located in Mission Viejo California.
Moe has seen almost everything that has occurred in the evolution of the commodity markets. In the time since he began the markets have moved from being primarily a hedging instrument for farmers to a worldwide trading vehicle for financial instruments from bonds and currencies to the stock indexes. He was there when gold moved from $100 to $850 and back again. He has experienced markets when interest rates were over 20% as well as under 4% as well as the volatile days of October 1987 in the stock market.
He has worked in all aspects of trading from the Exchanges in Chicago, to writing articles for international financial publications. Recently Moe was honored by his election to the Board of Directors of the New York Futures Exchange. Moe is also on the Board of Directors of the California Council on Economic Education. Today his primary focus outside his company is conducting workshops around the globe. These workshops focus on giving new investors the basics of trading in today's global marketplace. He covers topics from the basics of how to read a chart and technical analysis, to money management and developing a comprehensive trading strategy tailored to the needs of each individual investor.
